Welcome to the Department of Statistics at Bartın University.
Statistics is an art of understanding and explaining data. There is growing need for statisticians who use data analysis techniques effectively. Our department is constituted to satisfy this growing need. Our aim is to train high-quality statisticians who use acquired knowledge and skills effectively, keep pace with changing technology, have analytical skills, are able to work in multi-disciplinary studies, are self-confident and modern people.
The Department of Statistics at Bartın University focus on research and student training in Theory of Statistics, Statistical Information Systems, Applied Statistics, Operations Research, Probability and Stochastic Processes, Risk Analysis. Graduates of the department can work in public and private sectors, and also can have an academic carrier in universities.
